The Halverson Peak is a 1,710 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the King Range of the Concord Mountains, it marks the eastern flank of the mouth of the Rawle Glacier in the Black Glacier .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1964. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1970 after Jack E. Halverson of the United States Navy, senior electrical engineer on the McMurdo- Station in 1967.
