Life

Hamad al-Muntashari was considered the greatest talent in Saudi Arabian football and was one of the country's stars. The central defender played for the best team in Saudi Arabia of the 2000s, al-Ittihad from Jeddah . In 2004 and 2005 he won the Asian Champions League twice in a row with the club and was then voted Asia's Footballer of the Year at the age of 23 .

After the great disappointment about the results at the soccer World Cup in 2002 , Hamad al-Muntaschari came as a new force on December 17, 2002 for the first time in the Saudi Arabian national team. There he is now a firm support and was already wearing the captain's armband as a substitute. In qualifying for the 2006 World Cup in Germany, the defense around him and Nayif al-Qadi was the basis of success and only allowed one goal. In the Saudi Arabian World Cup , he was on the defensive.

He ended his career in 2016.
