Hamelin Trelawney

Hamelin Trelawney (born October 16, 1782 , † May 3, 1846 in St. Helena ) was a British officer and the second governor of St. Helena. He held this post between January 6, 1842 and January 3, 1846. Hamelin was the second son of Sir Harry Trelawney, 7th Baronet (1756-1834) and Ann Brown († 1822), daughter of Rev. James Brown. He married Martha Rogers (1782–1864) in Ireland on January 1, 1805 . The couple had six children together, all of whom were born in St Budeaux , Devon :
