Location of Hanauerhof in Rhineland-Palatinate

Hanauerhof is a hamlet that belongs to the municipality of Dielkirchen in the Donnersberg district in Rhineland-Palatinate .

location

Hanauerhof is located two kilometers east of the core municipality in the North Palatinate Uplands.

history

The Hanauerhof was first mentioned as Hagenauwe in a document from 1149. The farm was a donation to the Otterberg monastery , in whose possession the farm remained well into modern times. In the 16th century the Hanauerhof fell into desolation, but was later settled again. There is no relationship to the Hessian city of Hanau or the local noble family; the identity of the names is purely coincidental.

Around 1865 Hanauerhof had 33 residents and 14 buildings, all residents were Protestant and belonged to the parish of Dielkirchen.
