Handball Oberliga Sachsen 2005/06

The Handball Oberliga Sachsen is the fourth highest division in German men's and women's handball. The winner of the season will be promoted to the Regionalliga Süd . The two relegated teams are integrated into the association league. 14 teams play for the Saxony Championship and for promotion to the third-class regional league. The table leader after the 26th matchday is automatically Saxony champion 2006. In the men's category, SC Riesa and Motor Gohlis-Nord rose from the association league to the top division. The SG LVB Leipzig is relegated from the regional league . The men's Sachsenmeister became the HSG Freiberg. The HSG Freiberg and HC Einheit Plauen waived the promotion and gave the right of promotion to the SG LVB Leipzig.
