Hank from Helvete
Hans Erik Dyvik Husby (born June 15, 1972 ) is a Norwegian singer and actor who is known by various stage names such as Hertis , Hank von Helvete ("Hank from Hell") or Hank von Hell .
Life
Husby became known as the singer of the death punk band Turbonegro , which was best known for its provocation through pretended homosexuality and rock star clichés. The band was formed in the late 1980s and released several albums before separating in 1998 during a tour of Italy following a breakdown by Husbies who was heavily addicted to heroin at the time .
Husby began in the wake in his home, on the Moskenes Islands of Lofoten , a successful withdrawal. During this time he worked in a fishing and whaling museum in Å and as a presenter of a morning program on a local radio station.
During his time in Lofoten, Husby visited various schools in the region to talk to the students about his addiction and to show them the risks of drug use. In 2002 the reunification of Turbonegro took place when Husby was "clean" again. He proves his musical versatility in various projects; so he took on the leading role in the musical Jesus Christ Superstar in the New Theater in Oslo. Since he has ceased to be a drug addict, he has repeatedly stated in interviews that he regards himself as a devout Christian. He is said to be a member of the Church of Scientology . According to his own statement, he has had a drug problem since he was 12 years old, which he successfully overcome in 2009 with the Scientology drug rehabilitation program "Narconon".
Husby married Heidi Riise, eight years his junior, in June 2004. They separated in 2007. From 2009 to 2014 he was married to the model Gro Skaustein, with whom he has a daughter. In 2010 he played the Swedish singer Cornelis Vreeswijk in the film "Cornelis" . In 2009, together with Maria Solheim, he was number 1 in the Norwegian singles charts for three weeks with the song "Rom for alle".
He was the singer of the supergroup Doctor Midnight & the Mercy Cult, which existed from 2009 to 2011 . Since 2018 Husby has been on tour again with his own band Hank von Hell .
