Hanna Ereńska-Barlo (born November 12, 1946 in Poznan ) is a Polish chess player .

Hanna Ereńska-Barlo is a dentist and qualified opera singer, but she became internationally known as a chess player.
She married Werner Barlo and has lived in Berlin for many years , where she plays for SK Zehlendorf eV.

In 1971, 1972, 1977, 1979 and 1980 she won the Polish national championship for women.
Because of her successes, she received the title of Grand Master of Women (WGM) in 1981 and was the first Polish woman to achieve this title.
She played in two international women's tournaments in Bad Kissingen , namely an international women's tournament in 1977 and the interzonal tournament in Bad Kissingen in 1982 .
Ereńska-Barlo is listed as inactive at FIDE because she has not played an Elo-rated game since the Bad Wörishofen Chess Festival in March 2011.

Senior tournaments
After she was runner - up in the senior women's world championships three times and finished third twice, she finally won the title at the 17th world championship in Gmunden in 2007, ahead of Ludmila Saunina and Tamara Vilerte . She had prepared herself with the first Polish grandmaster Włodzimierz Schmidt .
Also in 2007 she played in Hockenheim at the European Senior Women's Championship (third-best woman), Fatalibekowa was first. In 2005 she won the Senior European Women 's Championship in Bad Homburg vor der Höhe .
National team
Hanna Ereńska took part in eight women's chess Olympiads between 1972 and 1992 . At the 1980 Chess Olympiad in Valletta she reached third place both with the team and in the individual ranking on the first board. At the 1972 Chess Olympiad in Skopje , she achieved the second best individual result on the second board.

At the Polish team championship Ereńska-Barlo took part at least 26 times between 1965 and 2003 with KS Pocztowiec TP SA Poznań . She won the Polish team championship in 1985 and 1988 . With KS Pocztowiec TP SA Poznań she took part in the European Club Cup 1989/90.
