Hanna Orthmann (born October 3, 1998 in Lüdinghausen ) is a German volleyball player .

Career

Hanna Orthmann played volleyball in her Westphalian home at SC Union 08 Lüdinghausen as a youth . In 2014 she came to the volleyball boarding school of the USC Münster , where she initially played in the junior team in the second Bundesliga north . Since the end of 2015, the outside attacker has been in the squad of the first team, with whom she had her first Bundesliga appearance on January 17, 2016 in the 3-0 defeat against NawaRo Straubing . In 2017 she moved to the Italian Serie A for Saugella Monza , with whom she won the European Challenge Cup .

From 2012 to 2016, Hanna Orthmann also played in the German youth and junior national team. With the U18 national team, she reached sixth place in spring 2015 at the European Championship in Bulgaria and in summer at the U18 World Championship in Peru in August . During World Grand Prix 2016 Orthmann had their first appearances in the senior team . With the U19 national team, she reached seventh place at the European Championships in Hungary and Slovakia in summer 2016 .

Private

Orthmann's brother Felix also plays volleyball in the Bundesliga.
