Hanna Rautenbach

Hanna Rautenbach , formerly Staubes and née Weber (born May 28, 1889 in Horn , † August 27, 1981 in Solingen ) was a German politician ( KPD ).

Live and act

Hanna Weber, who came from a working-class family, worked as a maid and unskilled worker in Solingen and Düsseldorf. In 1911 she married Walter Staubes. She first joined the SPD in 1915 , switched to the USPD in 1917 and, as a member of the Spartakusbund, was one of the founders of the KPD in Solingen. In 1929 she became a city councilor in Solingen and in 1930 a member of the Rhineland provincial council . From 1932 to 1933 she was a member of the Prussian state parliament . She was arrested in July 1933 and was imprisoned until April 1934, then in protective custody in various concentration camps . In the same year she married Otto Rautenbach. From August 1937 to October 1938, Rautenbach was imprisoned again in Düsseldorf. After the war , Rautenbach became a member of the KPD again and from November 1945 worked in the Solingen city administration. From 1947 to 1950 she was a member of the first elected state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . She moved into the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia at number 23 on her party's state list . In 1968 Rautenbach joined the DKP .

The KPD functionary Hermann Weber was a brother of Hanna Rautenbach.
