Hannah Kruger

Hannah Krüger (born September 4, 1988 in Nuremberg ) is a German national hockey player .

Hannah Krüger started playing hockey at HG Nürnberg and then moved to Münchner SC . In 2015, the Munich women were German runners-up in field hockey.

Since 2004 she also played in the German national teams of different age groups, in 2005 she took second place in the U18 European Championship with the selection of the German Hockey Association. In 2008 Hannah Krüger won the U21 European Championship with the German team. After making her senior team debut on February 6, 2009 , she finished fourth at the 2010 World Cup . At the 2013 European Championships , Hannah Krüger and the German team won the title through a shootout against England . After an eighth place at the 2014 World Cup , Hannah Krüger reached third place with the German national team at the 2015 European Championship by defeating Spain . At the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , she and the German team won the bronze medal match against New Zealand . Hannah Krüger has played a total of 166 international matches so far.

For winning the bronze medal at the 2016 Olympic Games, she and her team were honored with the silver laurel leaf on November 1, 2016 .

In the run-up to the 2016 Olympic Games, Krüger completed her teaching degree in biology and chemistry at the grammar school.
