Hannah Stevenson (born August 25, 1993 in Solihull ) is a British skeleton pilot .

Career

The former athlete came to skeleton in 2014 and made her debut in the 2017/18 season on November 11, 2017 in the European Skeleton Cup in Lillehammer . She finished fourth directly and in the second race on the track a day later she finished third in the British triple victory behind Eleanor Furneaux and Brogan Crowley . In Winterberg she won a week later at the first competition again fourth. In the second competition in the Veltins ice arena , she only finished 14th. At the end of the season, she finished twelfth with 179 points in the overall standings of the European Cup, although she only completed four out of eight races.

In the 2018/19 season she could not fully build on the results from last season. Although she was unable to achieve a top five result in her five appearances in the European Cup , she was among the top ten starters in four of the five races. She achieved her best result on November 17, 2018 in Innsbruck when she finished seventh. At the end of the season she finished 13th overall with 166 points.

In the season 2019/20 Hannah Stevenson launched on December 8, 2019 Winterberg with their first victory. She won the race in the Veltins ice arena in front of her teammate Amelia Coltman and the German Hanna Staub . On January 10th and 11th she was able to achieve two further top ten placements in Innsbruck with eighth and fifth places. At the end of the season, she finished seventh overall with 235 points.
