Hannes Blank

Hannes Blank (born April 30, 1983 in Dieburg ) is a former German racing cyclist .

Career

In 2006 Hannes Blank joined the German Continental Team Lamonta , for which he won the U23 classification at the Bayern Tour and won a stage of the Circuito Montañés .

In 2007 he moved to the Luxembourg Continental Team Differdange , where he ended his international career at the end of the 2009 season. For this team he competed in races inside and outside Europe, e.g. B. in Malaysia , Gabon and South Korea . He won a stage of the Tour of Korea in 2007 and the Estonian one-day race in 2009 . At the French stage races Tour Alsace and Circuit de Lorraine , he finished second and third in the overall standings in 2008.

During his time as a competitive cyclist, he acquired the general university entrance qualification . At the age of 26, he ended his sports career, which he said he would only have continued if he had received an offer from a larger team. He then studied Eastern European Studies and Law , which he graduated with a Masters at the age of 33 . In 2016 he began a professional activity as a management consultant in Moscow .
