Hannes Seidl (* 1977 in Bremen ) is a German composer for new music .

biography

Seidl studied composition at the Folkwang University in Essen and in Graz . He writes compositions for solo instruments, ensembles, orchestras, live electronics and tape music, which he has already worked on with numerous ensembles (e.g. the Klangforum Wien , the Ensemble Modern ).

Since 2003 he has made regular appearances with Maximilian Marcoll as the electronic duo dis.playce . He is the recipient of numerous scholarships, e. E.g. the Darmstadt Summer Course for New Music, the Academy of Liberal Arts in Berlin and the Impulse competition. He is also a co-founder of the stock11.de group .

In 2010 his music and video performance on the subject of art work and leisure activities, which he designed together with Daniel Kötter, was shown at the Future Music Festival in Stuttgart. Seidl and Kötter have been working on a trilogy of Economics of Action since 2012 . The first part of the loan , which deals with the financial market, premiered in 2013 at the Steirischer Herbst , the second part, which deals with the mechanisms of law , in 2015 at the Mousonturm in Frankfurt a. M.

Hannes Seidl lives as a freelance composer in Frankfurt am Main .
