Minisex is an Austrian band project from Neue Deutsche Welle in the 1980s. At first they sang in English, then they switched to German. After a long break, a new album was released in 2014.
Band history
In 1980 the first LP, Minisex , was released. Two years later, their second album, Bikini Atoll , came out, from which the single Du kleine Spion was a first success. The group's greatest success was the single Eismeer , which made it to second place on the Ö3 hit parade. In Germany they performed at the Austrian Rock Days . Their best-known song is probably Rudi, pay attention , in which they sing about a stalker . Songs like I drive with the car , millions don't count, or Bandit were also successful in Austria until the mid-1980s. In 1990 minisex broke up.
The band often changed line-up. A total of 18 musicians have played with Minisex to date, including Hansi Lang , Brigitte Seuberth, Michael "Mecky" Pilecky and Hannes Seidl.
In mid-2009 the group reunited for a benefit concert with the Austrian indie rock band Mondscheiner . Since then she has appeared again, including at the Donauinselfest 2013. In March 2014, the comeback album Reduced . Produced by Patrick Pulsinger / Christopher Just / Gerhard Potuznik , the album follows on from old sounds.
