Hanni Bay

Hanni Bay (born September 29, 1885 in Belp , † March 11, 1978 in Bern ) was a Swiss painter .

Bay painted or drew landscapes, portraits and murals; she was also a photo journalist for newspapers and magazines and was involved in the labor and women's rights movement. Her works are exhibited at the Kunstmuseum Bern , the Bündner Kunstmuseum , the Kunsthaus Zürich , the ETH Collection of Graphics and the Swiss National Library , among others . Your estate is in the Bern Burger Library . In Zurich, Hanni Bay raised her three children alone.
