Hanno Goffin (engineer)

Hanno Goffin (* 1926 in Stettin ; † August 21, 2011 ) was a German civil engineer.

Goffin studied civil engineering at the Technical University of Braunschweig with a diploma in 1954, worked in the construction industry until 1956 and from 1956 to 1961 at the state testing office for structural engineering in Düsseldorf. Goffin headed the construction technology group in the Ministry for State and Urban Development of North Rhine-Westphalia. He was a senior ministerial advisor .

Goffin was deputy chairman of the German Committee for Reinforced Concrete (DAfStb) from 1970 and from 1973 (as successor to Bernhard Wedler ). Under his chairmanship, the Committee's research colloquia were launched in 1974 and the preparation for Eurocode 2 also took place during his term of office . When he retired in 1991, he also handed over the chairmanship to Eilhard Wölfel .

In 1985 he received the Emil Mörsch commemorative coin.

He was an honorary doctor of the Ruhr University Bochum . In 1999 he became an honorary member of the DAfStb.
