Hanns Eyferth

Hanns Eyferth (born April 1, 1901 in Wolfenbüttel ; died August 31, 1989 in Langenhagen ) was a German educator .

Career

Hanns Eyferth studied law, economics, philosophy and psychology and received his doctorate in 1924. phil. After a short stint in the Hahnöfersand youth prison, he and his wife became a member of the management of Johannes Trüper's home for children with developmental impairments and disorders in Jena in 1924 . In 1942 he took over the management of the educational advice center of the National Socialist People's Welfare in Berlin.

After the end of the Second World War he co-founded the state youth welfare office in the state of Brandenburg . In 1951 he became rector of the Lüneburg University of Education and in 1960 moved to the Lower Saxony Ministry of Education as a consultant for teacher training and the University of Education . In 1961 he became chairman of the sponsoring association of the German Youth Institute .

Together with Hans-Uwe Otto and Hans Thiersch , he was the editor of the handbook on social work / social pedagogy .
