Hans-Christoph Reinhold Reiss (born February 27, 1960 in Walsrode ) is a German economist .

Life

Hans-Christoph Reiss studied social sciences and business administration at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg . In 1987 he obtained his degree in business administration . He was a research assistant at the Chair of Controlling and Logistics at WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management . In 1991 he was at Jürgen Weber at the WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management to Dr. rer. pole. PhD . During his doctorate he founded the HCR Consulting & Partner GbR with Michael Kemper, which was sold in 1991 after Michael Kemper's death. Reiss then worked as a consultant for the Ernst & Young Group and founded his consulting company together with Daniela Meurer in 1998 as a law firm Prof. Dr. Reiss & Partner GbR new.

In 1994 he was appointed professor for business administration, especially accounting and controlling, at the University of Applied Sciences in Stralsund . From 1995 to 2004 he was professor for general business administration, accounting, controlling and management in social institutions in the course of studies in hospital, health and social economics at the University of Applied Sciences in Mainz . Reiss has been Professor of Economics at the Mainz University of Applied Sciences since 2004. From 2004 to 2008 he was Vice President of the Mainz University of Applied Sciences. Since October 2010 he has been managing director of the Dual University of Rhineland-Palatinate (DHR).

In 2001 he founded the Institute for Applied Management in the Social Economy (ifams), of which he is the scientific director. He works with Kurt Koeder in the scientific management.

Act

Reiss is involved in various honorary offices and was a member of various advisory boards, such as the model project "Measures to monitor success in the field of social welfare legislation " of the Federal Ministry of Health (1996–1999) and the model project "New control models in youth welfare" of the Evangelical Society of Stuttgart (1995-1999) . From 1995 to 1998 he was involved in the further training course "Organizational Design" of the German Association for Public and Private Welfare in Frankfurt am Main. From 2005 to 2017 he was Deputy Chairman of the State Advisory Board for Criminology and Prison Services in Rhineland-Palatinate .

He is particularly involved in quality development in further education and universities as well as health care and controlling in public administration . He has published numerous specialist publications and articles.
