Hans-Georg Härter (born May 2, 1945 in Bensheim ) was CEO of ZF Friedrichshafen AG from 2007 to April 30, 2012 . As of May 1, 2012, his successor as Chairman of the Executive Board was Stefan Sommer .

biography

After training as a machine fitter, Härter graduated as a state-certified technician from the Techniker Day School in Berlin. He then studied at the Meersburg Academy and graduated with a degree in technical business administration.

Härter started his professional career at ZF Passau GmbH in Passau in June 1973. In January 1991 he became a member and in July 1994 Chairman of the Management Board of ZF Passau GmbH . In the same month he was appointed a member of the ZF Friedrichshafen AG management team. From January 2002 he was Chairman of the Board of Management of ZF Sachs AG in Schweinfurt . In October 2006, Härter became a member of the Board of Management and was Chairman of the Board of Management of ZF Friedrichshafen AG from January 2007 to the end of April 2012.

Härter is married and has two sons.
