Hans Hermann Henseleit
Hans Hermann Henseleit (* 1911 in Königsberg ; † 1997 ) was a German journalist and art collector .
Life
Henseleit came after the Second World War to Kiel , where he worked as an editor and features editor at the Kieler Nachrichten worked. For almost 50 years he collected contemporary art , including paintings , graphics and small sculptures . In 1992 he was awarded the honorary professorship of the state of Schleswig-Holstein "in recognition of the life's work that he had created over decades as a promoter and critic of the art and culture scene in Schleswig-Holstein" .
Hans Henseleit Foundation
The Hans Henseleit Foundation , founded by Henseleit with the aim of making his collection accessible to the public , has been located in the main branch of Sparkasse Kiel since 1984 (since 2007 Förde Sparkasse ).
