Hans-Jürgen Bäsler (born March 28, 1938 - † August 6, 2002 ) was a German football player . He played 17 Bundesliga games .

Career

Bäsler began his sporting career as a boxer with the Neukölln Sportfreunde . In 1958 he moved from the youth team to the contract league team of Tasmania in which he played 148 games until 1963. Even Sepp Herberger recognized the talents of the stopper and appointed him in 1959 for the international match against Yugoslavia in which he sat on the bench. In the Berlin City League , Hans-Jürgen Bäsler won the championship with Tasmania 1900 in 1959, 1960 and 1962. He came in the finals for the German championship on 15 missions. On May 29, 1960 he lost with "Tas" the game in the Olympic Stadium in front of 88,000 spectators against 1. FC Cologne with 1: 2 goals. He mostly formed the defender couple with Horst Talaszus . From 1957 to 1963 he played 147 games in the Stadtliga Berlin. In September / October 1962 he played two appearances in the trade fair cup against DOS Utrecht. Until 1964 the defender played at Tasmania Berlin , who from 1963 played in the second-rate Regionalliga Berlin . In 1964 he moved to the second-rate Regionalliga West to Arminia Bielefeld . There he had twelve missions until May 1965, in which he scored a penalty goal. He also scored an own goal. In 1965 Bäsler returned to the Tasmanians who had been promoted to the Bundesliga , where he was a regular in the first half of the season. In the second half of the season, however, Bäsler only had two missions. In the spring of 1966 his contract with Tasmania after disagreements with the coach Heinz-Ludwig Schmidt . He then moved to Rot-Weiß Neukölln , where he also worked as a coach.

Trivia

Bäsler had learned the trade of bricklayer. After completing his professional career as a football player, he first worked as a used car dealer and owner of a candy store until he finally worked as an insurance agent. He died on August 6, 2002.
