Hans-Jürgen Bucher

Hans-Jürgen Bucher (born December 5, 1953 in Fridingen an der Donau ) is a German media scientist and professor emeritus for media studies at the University of Trier .

Life

Hans-Jürgen Bucher studied German and sports science at the University of Tübingen . In 1985 he became press communication with his work . Basic structures of a form of public communication from a linguistic point of view. PhD. From 1979 to 1980 he completed his legal clerkship for the higher teaching post at grammar schools. From 1992 to 1993 he worked as a scientific and journalistic lecturer at the German Institute for Journalistic Education, Journalist Center Haus Busch in Hagen. Between 1993 and 1995 he worked as a journalist for the Schwäbisches Tagblatt and SWR radio (Landesstudio Tübingen). From 1995 to 1997 he was a research assistant and teacher at the University of Augsburg. In 1996 he represented the professorship for general and specific journalism at the Institute for Communication and Media Studies at the University of Leipzig.

In 1997 he was appointed professor for media studies at the University of Trier . In 2001 he was visiting professor of international journalism at Hamline University in St. Paul , Minnesota . In 2019, Bucher gave his farewell lecture and was retired.
