Hans-Jürgen Kretschmer

Hans-Jürgen Kretschmer (born January 10, 1955 in Minden ) is a German lawyer and judge at the Federal Social Court .

Life

Kretschmer studied law at the Free University of Berlin . He completed his studies in 1979 with the first state examination in law. This was followed by his legal clerkship , which he completed in 1981 with the second state examination. In addition to his legal clerkship, he was a research assistant at the Free University of Berlin from 1979 to 1982. He received his doctorate there in 1982 on the subject of " The reservation of the law in social security law ".

In 1982 he began his career in the judiciary as a judge. In 1983 he became a judge at the Berlin Social Court and in 1990 at the then Berlin Social Court . In May 1999 Kretschmer was appointed presiding judge at the regional social court. He has been a judge at the Federal Social Court since September 1, 1999. There he was initially a member of the 6th Senate of the Federal Social Court, which was concerned with contract doctor and contract dentist law. In October 2003 he then moved to the 1st Senate of the court, which deals with health insurance law, and in August 2008 he became the deputy chairman of the 1st Senate and on January 19, 2011 chairman of the 12th Senate. The 12th Senate is responsible for the contribution and membership law of health, long-term care, pension and unemployment insurance.

Among other things, it publishes in the Community Commentary on the Social Security Code .

He is married, has three children and is a member of the SPD .
