Hans-Jürgen Lüttjohann (born December 23, 1950 ) is a former German football player who was active in second division football from 1969 to 1987 in Wismar and Schwerin .

Athletic career

In the 1969/70 season Hans-Jürgen Lüttjohann began his career in the second-rate GDR league . In the 30 game days of the season he was used for TSG Wismar in 15 league games. In November 1970 Lüttjohann was called up for military service for 18 months in the National People's Army , after he had previously played four games for TSG. After his discharge from the army, Lüttjohann began to play again for TSG Wismar in the 1972/73 season. In his 17 appearances in the GDR league, which now lasts 22 match days, he came to his first three league goals. Also in 1973/74 he was absent from four league games and was used alternately in attack and in midfield. Lüttjohann played the most successful season in Wismar in 1974/75. He only missed one point game, but was TSG's top scorer with ten goals. Coach Levknecht used him very flexibly in all series of games. For the 1975/76 season Hans Reincke took over the training in Wismar, he put Lüttjohann continuously in midfield in this and the following season. In this position, too, he was able to play his scoring danger and scored eight or seven goals.

In the summer of 1977 Lüttjohann followed coach Levknecht to Schwerin, who had helped the ISG Schwerin to rise to the GDR league in the preseason . At ISG, Lüttjohann initially continued to play in midfield under Levknecht. He kept this position under the new coach Werner Sewe in the seasons 1979/80 and 1980/81. In the last season, Lüttjohann was appointed the new team captain and replaced Axel Bergmann in this position, which Lüttjohann then held until 1987. When Wolf-Peter Jantzen took over the training at ISG for the 1981/82 season, Lüttjohann was used as a striker for one season, but only got two league goals. In the following three seasons, the coach put him in the defense. After the 1984/85 season, the ISG Schwerin rose from the GDR league. Until then, Lüttjohann had always been a regular. Although he was 35 years old, he also played for the ISG in 1985/86 in the third-rate district league , helped her to the district championship and immediate promotion. In the 1986/87 DDR League season, Lüttjohann was still part of the squad and played 28 of the 34 DDR League games as a midfielder under the new coach Axel Bergmann. He also scored his last two league goals, having previously scored twelve goals for the ISG in the GDR league. The ISG did not manage to stay up and rose again after a year in the district league.

Since the Schwerin did not climb back into the GDR league, Hans-Jürgen Lüttjohann's career in high-class football was also over. There he had spent 17 seasons, completed 318 GDR league games and scored 44 goals.
