Hans Joachim Ihle

Hans Joachim Ihle (born December 21, 1919 in Berlin , † December 15, 1997 in Burgdorf ) was a German sculptor .

Life

Hans Joachim Ihle studied at the Berlin Academy of Arts with Wilhelm Gerstel and Richard Scheibe . He made a name for himself as an animal sculptor. Numerous works by his hand are exhibited in public spaces in Berlin. Together with Günter Anlauf , he also took part in the long-lasting reconstruction of the Golden Gallery in the Knobelsdorff wing of Charlottenburg Palace . The reconstructed attic figures Allegory of Rhetoric , Allegory of Dialectic , Allegory of Music and Allegory of Astronomy also come from him.
