Hans-Joachim Priester (born June 21, 1937 in Hamburg ) is a German legal scholar .

Life

From 1955 Hans-Joachim Priester studied law and business administration at the University of Hamburg and the Ruprecht-Karls-University of Heidelberg . In Hamburg he joined the Corps Albertina. In 1960 he passed the first state examination in law. In 1962 he graduated from business administration with a degree in business administration . from. In 1964 he was promoted to Dr. jur. PhD. After working as a legal clerk in Hamburg, Berlin and Brussels , he passed the second state examination in law in 1966 .

In 1967 he joined a Hamburg law firm and auditing firm as a lawyer. In 1972 he passed the auditor exam . From 1974 to 2007 he worked as a notary in Hamburg . In 1988 he was appointed honorary professor by the Faculty of Law at the University of Hamburg . In 2000 he was a member of the founding committee of the Bucerius Law School in Hamburg. From 2000 to 2007 he was Vice President of the Hamburg Chamber of Notaries . He belongs to the supervisory boards of Fielmann and freenet in Büdelsdorf.

As a corporate lawyer, he was primarily involved in commenting on provisions of commercial and corporate law, including transformation and capital market law. His articles in magazines and festschrifts as well as his contributions in conference reports are numerous.

Since 1976 he has been a member of the Academic Club in Hamburg .
