Hans-Joachim Wolfram (born February 3, 1934 in Dresden ; † November 16, 2016 in Berlin ) was a German journalist and television presenter .

Life

Wolfram grew up in Dresden-Striesen and trained to be a company electrician . After completing his apprenticeship, he worked for Radio DDR in Dresden from 1957 . There he was initially responsible for the studio technology and from 1958 worked in the editorial office. At the same time he attended the college for journalism in Leipzig .

In 1970 Wolfram switched to German television broadcasting . From June 1972 he presented for almost 40 years until December 2011, first for the television of the GDR , later for the MDR , the show outsider-front-runner , the longest German entertainment program produced on TV to date (as of 2016). His long-term partner was Hans-Joachim Wolle . Wolfram also accompanied the program Wennschon, dennschon for television in the GDR . He was also the presenter of several large TV galas. In 1973, 1974 and 1987 he was voted the TV favorite of the GDR .

Hans-Joachim Wolfram sang in the Dresden Schubert Choir from 1960 to 1970. He was also active in sports: Wolfram was GDR ice stock sport champion in 1965 and 1967 and actively played football from 1946 to 1970 . In addition, he was active in harness racing in Berlin-Karlshorst for ten years . Besides equestrian sports, his hobbies were jazz , swing and classical music .

Wolfram had four daughters with his wife Gabriele.
