Hans-Peter Miksch

Hans-Peter Miksch (* 1954 in Nuremberg ) is a German curator and author . From 2002 to 2020 he was director of the city art gallery in Fürth .

Life

After studying German , history, sociology and political science at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg , Miksch completed a degree in cultural management at the FU Hagen . From 1984 to 2002 he worked as an exhibition manager at the Kunsthaus Nürnberg. From 1983 to 2002, Miksch was the private secretary of the painter Oskar Koller and, as of 2015, he represents the Oskar Koller Foundation as a member of the executive committee . Miksch is also a member of the jury at the Otto and Hildegard Grau Foundation, Erlangen , which awards an art prize (previously 10,000, then 7,500 euros) every two years to artists from the fields of visual arts, music and literature who have something in common with Franconia .

In 2012, Miksch curated the second triennial for contemporary art in the city of Schweinfurt .
