Hans-Peter Seitz

Hans-Peter Seitz (born May 30, 1942 in Dresden ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Seitz attended an extended high school (EOS) and received his Abitur in 1960. He then studied shipbuilding technology at the University of Rostock . From 1964 to 1966 he worked in the studio technology department of the German television broadcasting company , which at that time was still operated by Deutsche Post . In 1966 he was admitted to the Humboldt University of Berlin to study physics ; in 1973, Seitz received his doctorate as Dr. rer. nat. From 1972 he was a research assistant at the Central Institute for Molecular Biology of the Academy of Sciences of the GDR .

In the course of the Peaceful Revolution in the GDR , Seitz joined the SPD in 1990. In the first all-Berlin election in 1990 , he was in the district of Pankow in the Berlin House of Representatives elected, he could win the electoral district of Pankow. 4 Seitz was chairman of the main committee of the House of Representatives. He was a member of parliament until 2001.
