Hans-Robert Mezger
Hans-Robert Mezger (born July 22, 1904 in Elbing ; † 1974 in Karlsruhe ) was a German legal scholar and court judge.
Mezger studied law at the University of Jena and became a member of the Corps Guestphalia . After graduating as Dr. jur. In 1929 he took up a career as a judge. During the Second World War, he was a military lawyer, initially a judge- martial in various infantry divisions, and later as a chief staff judge at the Wehrmacht Command in Berlin . After the war he was appointed judge at the Federal Court of Justice in Karlsruhe. Mezger was co-editor of the Reichsgerichtsrätekommentar (RGRK) on the BGB .
