Hans-Ulrich Stelter (born December 5, 1945 in Mainz-Mombach ) is a German television journalist .

biography

Stelter has been a radio and television journalist since 1968. He started in Mainz at Südwestfunk (SWF), now: Südwestrundfunk (SWR). Stelter was then head of the SWF regional studio in Koblenz for radio and television from 1972 to 1974, after which he joined the bi-media newsroom, of which he was head from 1977 to 1981. He then headed the culture / television department of the SWF in Rhineland-Palatinate from 1982 to 1993. From 1993 to 1995 he worked for the ARD coordination at 3sat on ZDF , then from 1995 to 1998 he became a television correspondent in Bonn. From 1998 to the end of 2010 he was special correspondent / television for SWR. When he reached the age limit, on December 31, 2010, after 42 years of work, Stelter resigned from his employment at SWR. Today he works as a freelancer, he ended his work as a presenter in the event and documentation channel Phoenix on July 21, 2017.

Since 1987 he has been involved in the Rotary Club Koblenz- Ehrenbreitstein and was temporarily its president. From 2006 to 2007 he was Governor of Rotary District 1810. From 2007 to October 2009 he was responsible for Rotary's public relations work in Germany and during this time also co-editor of the Rotary Magazin of Rotary Verlag GmbH. For Rotary International he was also "Zone Coordinator of Literacy Resource Group" from 2007 to 2010 and thus responsible for the educational programs in Germany. Stelter has been a member of the Rotary Public Relations Committee since November 2010, and from July 2012 to June 30, 2015 he was spokesman for the 15 district public relations officers in Germany for three years.

Stelter has been chairman of the "Friends and Patrons of the Technical State Museum" at Ehrenbreitstein Fortress since 2007 . Since January 2011, Stelter has also been chairman of the "Förderkreis Kulturzentrum Ehrenbreitstein Fortress" in Koblenz. Stelter is also a member of the board of the Namedy Castle sponsorship group , the residence of Princess Heide von Hohenzollern.
