Hans-Werner Bierhoff
Hans-Werner Bierhoff (* 3. June 1948 in Sundern , Sauerland ) is a German psychologist and emeritus professors .
Life
Bierhoff studied psychology from 1967 to 1971 and completed the course with a diploma. From 1973 to 1980 he was a research assistant at the Psychological Institute of the University of Bonn . He was then from 1980 to 1992 Professor of Social Psychology at the University of Marburg . From 1992 to 2013 he held the chair for social psychology at the Ruhr University in Bochum .
Bierhoff's research focuses on narcissism , personal responsibility , voluntary work and volunteer work, as well as prosocial behavior , social responsibility and justice in groups.
