Hans Böttcher (born November 10, 1940 in Weferlingen ) is a former German football player in attack . He played for BSG Energie Cottbus in the GDR league .
Career
In his youth, Böttcher played for his home club BSG Traktor Weferlingen. He then moved to ASV Pasewalk in 1959, before returning to Weferlingen for a year in 1961. In 1962, SC Magdeburg signed him . Böttcher stayed there until 1965 and then moved to 1. FC Magdeburg in the GDR league. After Böttcher had not played a game for the first men's team there, he went to BSG Chemie Premnitz , which had just been promoted to the second-rate GDR league. With Premnitz he reached eighth place in the table at the end of the season . With 13 goals Böttcher finished fourth in the list of goalscorers. A year later he went to league competitor BSG Energie Cottbus . In his first season in 1968/69 he came only to seven missions and one goal, where he was only four times in the starting line-up. In the following years things went better for him. So by the end of the 1972/73 season he had 96 appearances and 33 goals. In 1972/73 Cottbus also achieved promotion to the league. In the promotion round, Böttcher was used in all eight games and scored three goals. There Böttcher was used eighteen times, ten of them substitutions, but could not score a goal. From 1968 to 1974 he was the team captain. In the season 1974/75 Böttcher played for the second team in the district league and then ended his career as a professional footballer.
From 1976 to 1978 Böttcher worked as a trainer for SG Briesen.
