Hans Büsing

Hans Büsing (born February 11, 1880 in Schwerin , † 1941 in Asunción ) was a German diplomat.

Life

Hans Büsing studied law. At the University of Tübingen he became a member of the Corps Suevia in 1899 . After completing his studies and doctorate as Dr. jur. He started his professional career in the judicial service, but after a short time switched to the diplomatic service. In 1911 he was appointed head of the Consulate General in London , in 1912 in Cape Town and in 1913 in Monrovia . During the First World War he was an active soldier before becoming consul general in Esbjerg in 1915 , in Christiania in 1916 and in Stockholm in 1917 . In 1918 he returned as a legation counselorand permanent unskilled worker back to the Foreign Office in Berlin. In 1923 he became Consul General for Australia, Tasmania, New Zealand and the Fiji Islands, based in Melbourne since 1924 and in Sydney since 1928 . In 1929 he was promoted to General Consul First Class. From 1932 to 1935 Hans Büsing was the German ambassador to Finland and from 1937 until his death the German ambassador to Paraguay.
