Hans Brockhaus

Hans Albert Brockhaus (born October 6, 1888 in Leipzig , † December 19, 1965 in Wiesbaden ) was a German publisher .

Career

Brockhaus came as the son of the publisher Albert Brockhaus and his wife Marie Georgine, nee. Witt (died 1918), to the world. He passed the final examination at the König-Albert-Gymnasium in Leipzig and completed an apprenticeship as a publishing bookseller in Bern , Leipzig, Paris and London between 1909 and 1914 . On July 1, 1914, he became co-owner of the FA Brockhaus lexicon publisher and moved with him to Wiesbaden in June 1945.
