Today, after leaving school, Hans Dieter Hübner deals with the mountain battles of the First World War in the Italian regions of Trentino-South Tyrol and Veneto . The focus is on the disputes in the context of the Austro-Hungarian May offensive in 1916 around the Pasubio massif . To this end, Hübner organizes military and cultural history excursions. He was used by the German Armed Forces as a historical leader in several military history trainings. As a result, he made many encounters between German and Italian mountain soldiers. On this subject, Hübner has published a trilogy called Unterwegs on Historical Traces .
