Hans Dietl (politician, 1894)

Hans Dietl (born January 24, 1894 in Bruck (near Künzing ); died August 26, 1981 in Landshut ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Dietl, a trained locksmith and fitter, was organized in a trade union from 1910 and joined the SPD in 1919. In Landshut he became chairman of the local SPD association and a member of the city council during the Weimar period , and he ran unsuccessfully for both the Reichstag and the Bavarian state parliament. After the " seizure of power " by the National Socialists , he was taken into " protective custody " and interned in the Dachau concentration camp from July 1 to August 1, 1933 . In 1944 he was arrested again and held in the Flossenbürg concentration camp from August 22 to December 25, 1944 .

After the end of the war he participated in the reconstruction of the SPD and the trade unions in Landshut. In 1946 he was first a member of the Advisory State Committee and then a member of the constituency of Lower Bavaria / Upper Palatinate in the State Constituent Assembly . 1946–1954 he was a member of the Bavarian state parliament , in the first legislative period until 1950 as a member of the constituency Landshut (city) / Landshut (country) / Vilsbiburg, in the second as a member of the constituency of Lower Bavaria. He was a member of the Remuneration Committee in both terms.

In 1949 Dietl was also a member of the 1st Federal Assembly .
