Hans Dotzler (born June 10, 1957 ) is a former German soccer goalkeeper . During his career he played at Bayer 05 Uerdingen in the Bundesliga and the 2nd Bundesliga .

Career

Dotzler played in the Bundesliga from 1980 at Bayer 05 Uerdingen . Under coach Horst Buhtz , he was number two between the posts, behind the regular Paul Hesselbach . In the 1980/81 season he played three games, he made his debut on matchday 26 in a 1-0 win over VfL Bochum . The next two league games completed again Dotzler. Both ended 3-2. One for MSV Duisburg , the other for the Werkself against 1. FC Nürnberg . Despite the yield of two wins, Bayer was relegated from bottom of the table in three games. In the subsequent 2nd Bundesliga season Werner Biskup took overthe coaching office. Biskup held on to Hesselbach as number one in goal. So Dotzler played in the league, on the 36th matchday he played in the 1: 6 defeat against TSV 1860 Munich . Bayer ended up in the final table in midfield and Dotzler moved to 1. FC Amberg .

Private

His son Lukas also played as a striker for FC Amberg. but in 2014 he switched to Eintracht Bamberg .
