Hans Engelhardt (politician)

Hans Engelhardt (born November 6, 1892 in Schwabmünchen ; † December 6, 1968 there ) was a German CSU politician .

Engelhardt attended elementary school and holiday school and worked on his parents' farm until he was drafted into active military service in 1912. During the First World War he belonged to two regiments, was wounded twice and was last used as a sergeant. He then ran the business on his sister's farm until he married in 1928 and thus became an independent farmer. The marriage resulted in two daughters and two sons. In addition to his agricultural activities, Engelhardt was also the second mayor of Schwabmünchen, was a member of the local market community or city council and the district council, was an assessor at the administrative and labor court and district chairman of the Bavarian Farmers' Association , where he was also a member of the Swabian district board . He was also chairman of the trade class commission at the slaughterhouse wholesale market in Augsburg . In 1958 he handed the farm over to his youngest son. That year Engelhardt was elected to the Bavarian state parliament for the first time . He won the direct mandate in the Schwabmünchen , Friedberg district . He was able to defend this in 1962, so that he was a member of the state parliament until 1966.
