Life

He comes from the Thuringian noble family von Burkersroda and was the son of Samson the Elder from Burkersroda († 1595) on Markröhlitz and Dölkau and his wife Barbara nee von Brandenstein .

Hans Friedrich von Burkersroda was married to Maria Anna, née von Hagen. Through her he received the two manors Package and Pitzschendorf in the Electorate of Saxony . From their marriage emerged, among other things, the later real secret council and chamber president at the Dresden court, Hans Friedrich Freiherr von Burkersroda . His daughter Christine married Hans Friedrich von Heßler in Naumburg (Saale) in 1634 . From this marriage there were six sons and three daughters.

At Mardi Gras 1609, Hans Friedrich von Burkersroda and numerous other nobles took part in an elevator in the electoral palace in Dresden, which has been visually documented for posterity.

After his death in 1640, Hans Friedrich von Burkersroda was solemnly buried in Naumburg Cathedral . His tomb adorned with coat of arms has been preserved for several centuries until today. A double door of the Naumburg cathedral organ also bears the coat of arms of the von Burkersroda family.
