from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hans Friedrich von Schönberg , also modernized Johann Friedrich von Schönberg , (born June 9, 1655 in Limbach ; † May 9, 1676 in Dresden ) was an electoral Saxon steward and manor owner .

Life

He came from the Saxon noble family von Schönberg and was the son of Caspar Dietrich von Schönberg (* July 12, 1599 in Limbach; † November 21, 1673 in Bornitz) and Maria Elisabeth von Ende (* June 1622; † February 21, 1690 in Rothschönberg). Hans Friedrich von Schönberg was the eighth of eleven children. From his father's first marriage to Anna Elisabeth Stange, he had several older half-siblings, including Hans Caspar von Schönberg (born September 16, 1640 in Limbach; † August 29, 1695 in Göda).

Like many of his family members, he embarked on an administrative career in the service of the Wettins . He went to the court in Dresden, where, as a young man, he took over the responsible office of the head chef. His untimely death at the age of 21 prevented a further career as a court official. He died unmarried and without children on May 9, 1676 in Dresden.

The funeral sermon given by Pastor Johann David Drabitius from Rothschönberg on the occasion of his solemn burial was published by Christoph Günther in Meißen .
