Hans Galperin

Hans Galperin (born December 15, 1900 in Bachmut (near Donetsk) in what is now the Ukraine; † December 19, 1994 in Bremen ) was a German judge , university professor and president of the Bremen state labor court.

biography

Galperin studied law at the University of Munich and the University of Göttingen until 1923 . He then became a trainee lawyer in Bremen in 1923 , a lawyer in 1926 and was also an assistant judge at the Bremen Regional Court until 1930 . From 1939 to 1945 he served as a soldier in World War II . From 1945 he was again assistant judge at the regional court and from 1946 chairman of the regional labor court Bremen (LAG Bremen). In 1953 he was appointed President of the LAG Bremen. Although he was elected judge at the Federal Labor Court in 1953 , he stayed in Bremen. He also taught as associate professor at the Wilhelmshaven University of Applied Sciences and, after its move, at the University of Göttingen. In 1965 he retired.

He was a very recognized judge and has made a number of publications. He was co-editor of the journal for labor law. In the field of labor law, he and Wolfgang Siebert were one of the first to comment on the Works Constitution Act . After his retirement he was an arbitrator in collective bargaining several times .
