Career

Valery Chepsarakova started wrestling in 2002. She belongs to the Dynamo Osseniki sports club and is trained by Grigori Braiko. She is a sports student and wrestles with a height of 1.60 meters in the weight classes up to 48 or 51 kg body weight.

She made her debut at the international championship in 2007. She became Junior European Champion in Belgrade in the weight class up to 51 kg ahead of Dominika Osocka, Poland and Oleksandra Kohut , Ukraine. At the Junior World Championships in Beijing in 2007, however, she lost her first fight against Michaele Munteanu from Romania, with which she was eliminated and only finished 15th. In 2008 she took 3rd place at the Junior European Championships in Kosice in the weight class up to 51 kg behind Julija Blahynja , Ukraine and Marina Milewskaja, Belarus. The most successful year in her career as a junior wrestler was 2009. Valerija Tschepsarakowa won the European championship title in Tbilisi, ahead of Angela Dorogan, Moldova, Dominika Osocka and Aurelie Basset, France and then in Ankara also the junior world championship before Sulphia Yachajrowa , Kazakhstan, Hedia Trabelsi, Tunisia and Dawaasüchiin Otgontsetseg , Mongolia. She won both titles in the weight class up to 51 kg.

From 2010 she was in the senior class. She finished this year at the Russian championship in the weight class up to 48 kg behind Aljona Morewa and Lyubow Kuzmina in 3rd place. In 2011 and 2012 she could not place in the front field at these championships. It was therefore not used in international championships between 2010 and 2012. At the beginning of 2013 she then triumphed with two tournament victories in Klippan and Krasnoyarsk and was therefore sent by the Russian Wrestling Association to the European Championship in Tbilisi. There, too, she was in top form and became the new European champion in the weight class up to 48 kg with victories over Alina Ryschowa, Belarus, Jaqueline Schellin , Germany, Sümeyya Sezer, Turkey and Jana Stadnik , Great Britain. At the Russian championship in 2013 she was defeated in the final against Jelena Vostrikova. It was therefore not used at the World Cup this year, but started at the Universiade in Kazan and came in third behind Eri Tosaka , Japan and Patimat Bagomedowa, Azerbaijan.
