Career

Natalja Pulkowska started wrestling as a teenager in 2001. She belongs to the Kolos Kolomija sports club and has been coached by Alexander Jeschow since the beginning of her career. She is a student. The 1.60 meter tall athlete has almost always started in the lightest weight class in women's wrestling, the weight class up to 48 kg body weight. She made her first start at an international championship at the Junior European Championship (Cadets) in Albena / Bulgaria, where she finished 5th in the weight class up to 46 kg. In the further course of her career as a junior wrestler, she was very successful. In 2006 she was runner-up in the weight class up to 48 kg in Guatemala City behind the Swede Sofia Mattsson. In 2007 she was European Junior Champion in the same weight class in Belgrade.

In 2006 she was used by the Ukrainian Wrestling Association for the first time in the senior women at an international championship. That was at the world championships in Guangzhou / China. In the weight category up to 48 kg she won over Guadelupe Perez from Mexico and Shumel from India, but lost in her third fight against Francine de Paola-Martinez from Italy. Since this did not reach the final, she was eliminated and took 7th place.

Her further career with the senior women was marked by the fact that Ukraine had three internationally very successful wrestlers in their weight class with Irina Melnik-Merleni , Oleksandra Kohut and Maria Liwatsch , against whom Natalja Pulkowska could not prevail. It was therefore not used in any international championships until the end of 2013, apart from the 2010 World University Championships in Turin. In Turin she won a bronze medal in the weight class up to 48 kg behind Minori Akeo from Japan and Alina Morewa from Russia.

In April 2014 it was used at the European Championships in Vantaa / Finland. There she convinced in the weight class up to 48 kg and fought her way into the final with victories over Emilia Budeanu, Moldova, Anna Lukasiak, Poland and Frederike Petersson , Sweden, in which she played against Maria Stadnik , who comes from a Ukrainian wrestling family, but for Azerbaijan goes to the start, lost.
