Naniev and Valeri Tschupakow. The 1.62 meter tall athlete usually starts in the weight class up to 51 kg.

Yekaterina Krasnowa was already extremely successful as a junior. Right at the beginning of her international career, she was in Seville in 2003 in the weight class up to 46 kg and in 2004 in Albena in the weight class up to 49 kg Junior European Champion in the age group "Cadets" (up to the age of 16). In Szombathely she was beaten in the final by Oleksandra Kohut from Ukraine and in Guatemala City by Meguni Machara from Japan . In 2007 and 2008 she only started at the Junior World Championships. In 2007 she came in Beijing in the weight class up to 55 kg behind Qiu Hongmei from China and in 2008 in Istanbul in the weight class up to 51 kg behind the Japanese Yu Horiuchi .

In 2009, Ekaterina Krasnowa was the first Russian champion in the weight class up to 51 kg. She relegated Marina Wilmowa and Lyubow Massenkowa to their places. In the same year it was used at the European Championships in Vilnius , where it won the European Championship in the weight class up to 51 kg with victories over Renata Omilusik, Poland , Mihaela Munteanu, Romania , Julija Blahynja , Ukraine and Emese Szabo , Hungary . At the 2009 World Championships, Marina Wilmowa was preferred to her, but she only finished 16th.

In 2010 and 2011, Yekaterina Krasnowa was the Russian runner-up in the weight class up to 51 kg. In 2010 behind Samira Rachmanova and in 2011 behind Marina Wilmowa. In these two years it was only used at the 2011 European Championships in Dortmund . There she came in 3rd place with victories over Francesca Mori, Italy and Roksana Zasina, Poland, a defeat against Estera Dobre from Romania and a win over Karolina Tjapko from Latvia .

In 2012 she started again at the European Championships , which took place in Belgrade . There she won a bronze medal again behind Iwona Matkowska from Poland and Oleksandra Kohut from Ukraine , together with Alexandra Engelhardt from Germany .

In September 2011, Ekaterina Krasnowa went on a trip to so-called combat grappling , a style of wrestling that is similar to sambo , but also contains other elements from other martial arts. She started it in Belgrade at the world championship of this sport and took 2nd place in the weight class up to 65 kg behind Ludmila Pasikowa from Ukraine and ahead of Katrina Maki from the United States. How valuable this success is is difficult to judge in this young, non-Olympic sport.
