Hans Georg von Ribbeck (born January 31, 1689 ; † June 6, 1759 ) was a squire and member of the West Havelland line of the Ribbeck family in the village of Ribbeck , now part of the city of Nauen in the Havelland district in Brandenburg .

Von Ribbeck lived in a previous building of today 's Ribbeck Castle . He is considered to be the person who has been described in connection with a pear tree on his grave in various literary works , including:

The stump of a pear tree that was knocked over by a storm on February 20, 1911 is now being kept in Ribbeck's village church.
