Hans Halter (theologian)

Hans Halter (born November 2, 1939 in Giswil ) is a Swiss Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

Halter studied philosophy and Roman Catholic theology . In 1965, Halter was ordained a Catholic priest. From 1977 to 1990 he was Professor of Moral Theology and Social Ethics at the Theological University in Chur and from 1990 to 2004 Professor of Catholic Theology at the University of Lucerne with a focus on social ethics at the Institute for Social Ethics .
