Hans Hartleb
Hans Hugo Christian Hartleb (born May 3, 1910 in Kassel ; † unknown) was a German opera director .
Life
Hartleb first studied theater studies at the University of Munich and received his doctorate there in 1936 .
In 1935 he became senior director at the Volksoper Berlin. From 1947 to 1956 he worked in a similar position at the Städtische Bühnen Essen , 1956 to 1961 at the Frankfurt Opera and from 1961 to 1967 at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich.
Since then he has lived as a freelance director in Munich. Modern opera and the Italian repertoire are his special domains .
