Hans Heinrich Coninx (* 23. August 1945 ) is a Swiss publisher , who as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Tamedia AG coined decisively.

Life

In 1971, Coninx joined the board of directors of the family company Tages-Anzeiger für Stadt und Kanton Zürich AG as a junior member with no voting rights . From 1973 he was also operationally active as an assistant to the group management. In 1978 he was elected to the regular board of directors, and in 1979 he became a member of the then four-person management.

In 1983 Coninx was appointed chairman of the now five-person management board, and in 1987 he also took over the office of Chairman of the Board of Directors from his father Otto Coninx , which he held until 2007. The previous Vice President Pietro Supino was elected as his successor . As the nephew of Hans Heinrich Coninx, he represents the fifth generation of the founding family. Coninx's eldest son, Martin Coninx, was the company's financial and business publishing director from 2004, and as managing director from 2008 (until the end of 2013).

Coninx was President of the Swiss Media Publishers' Association from 1992 to 2003 and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Swiss Dispatch Agency (SDA, now Keystone-SDA ) from 2003 to 2018 . In addition, he is committed to promoting highly talented young musicians through the Orpheum Foundation for the Promotion of Young Soloists . He was also on the board of the Swiss Multiple Sclerosis Society .

He was a member of the Board of Directors of Rothschild Bank from mid-2009 to April 2012 .
