Hans Heinrich von Könneritz

Count Hans Heinrich von Könneritz (born February 7, 1790 in Merseburg , † May 21, 1863 ) was a German diplomat , real secret councilor , manor owner and politician.

The son of the manor owner Hans Wilhelm Traugott von Könneritz (1753–1829) on Lossa and his wife Armgard Countess von Hohenthal (1768–1837) come from the old Thuringian-Saxon noble family Könneritz . His younger brother Julius Traugott von Könneritz (1792–1866) was the Saxon Minister of Justice and chairman of the entire ministry.

After an education at the country Pforta he studied at the University of Leipzig the law . In 1812 he became a government assessor at the court in Dresden , but entered the service of the Grand Ducal Weimar in 1815, where he made it to the government council. From 1820 he worked as Lord Chamberlain and General Director at the court theater in Dresden, but was replaced in this function in 1824. In 1822 he acquired the Erdmannsdorf manor , which he had completely renovated in 1843.

He now entered the diplomatic service. For a short time he was the Royal Saxon envoy in Madrid and from 1828 to 1848 envoy in Paris . He then worked as an envoy in Brussels , Berlin and Hanover . As an elected representative of the manor owners from the Leipzig district, he belonged to the first chamber of the Saxon state parliament in 1851/52 . On October 10, 1852, he obtained the title of Belgian count, which was recognized by the Saxon king on January 2, 1864, so that his eldest son was also allowed to use the title of count.

Könneritz was with Luise Clara geb. von Werthern-Beichlingen (* 1798) married. He handed over his manor Lossa to his eldest son Richard (1828-1910), also a diplomat and later President of the Saxon State Parliament, the manor Erdmannsdorf to his youngest son Léonçe (1835-1890), later Saxon Minister of Finance. His daughter Anna was married to the Prussian diplomat and Foreign Minister Albrecht von Bernstorff (1809–1873).
